• 3/18/2005: Wahine fans were treated to a wonderful night of entertaining volleyball when the UH Wahine met the Nebraska Women's team at the Stan Sheriff Arena.   Being the exhibition match it is, both coaches played everyone that was healthy.  After the match players from both teams expressed the fun of playing each other and the regret that they felt a bit too rusty from the lay-off.   But fans would agree there appeared to be little rust exhibited in everyone's performance.  View pictures of the teams relaxing together after the match.



• 3/17/2005: The UH Wahine Volleyball 2005 Schedule has been announced.   View the schedule HERE.  In addition, Hawaii is being considered as one of the four teams to play in the AVCA/NACWAA College Volleyball Showcase a preseason tournament held in August.  Nebraska has been selected as host for the tournament which will be held on August 26-27, 2005 at Qwest Center, Omaha, Nebraska.  Along with Hawaii, Stanford and Penn State are being mentioned as possible participants.  If this proves to be the teams playing, it will be one heck of an event!



• 3/11/2005: Our Wahine team is asking for our support in a good cause.   They have teamed up to fight cancer through the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.   Read a personal message from Cayley Thurlby on behalf of the team and a letter from Tara Hittle to get more information.
• Thank you to all those who worked on the banquet and all the boosters, fans, and friends who attended and helped to make the evening so special.  It was a night to remember!



• Congratulations to Na Wahine on a fabulous season.  They have found a way all season to keep us on the edge of our seats and loving every minute of it.  The only down-side?  It's a long time until next season begins.  Watch out for the latest news on off-season play.



• Congratulations to the newly elected Executive Board.  The new board begins it's service March 1, 2005 and will cover 2 years to Feb 28, 2007 as defined in the club by-laws.   Thank you to the current Executive Board for their service over the past two years.  Their efforts are greatly appreciated.



• The new board and the positions they will fill are:

• Two amendments to the Club bylaws were also approved. They are:




1)   A change to Article VIII of the by-laws clarifies that a member of the nomination committee is disqualified from running for office in the club for that election year.

2)   A change to Article XI of the by-laws clarifies that 1/3 of the membership will be 1/3 of the “voting” membership.
