Who We Are

The Wahine Volleyball Booster Club, formally organized in 1987, has been informally supporting the Wahine Volleyball program since the very early 80's. It's primary purpose is to support the University of Hawaii Wahine Volleyball program. It does this through monetary donations, organizing and running special program events, and providing that special sense of ohana to the players and staff that is so unique to Hawaii. At the wheel of this organization are four officers and four directors who are elected every two years. The backbone of the club is our members who volunteer for the various activities of the club. Our family of volunteers are always ready to help, not only our team, but the visiting teams as well. Our reputation is well known among the coaching fraternity and many look forward to scheduling a trip to the "fabled land of volleyball".

1/23/2006: Cayley Thurlby is again organizing and leading a team of Wahine and friends to support the the University of Hawaii's Relay for Life. This a program that is very dear to her. Please read her letter and find how you can help to make a difference.

1/23/2006: The Dave Shoji Golf Tournament date has changed from Friday, May 5, 2006 to Thursday, May 4, 2006. Golf course will shortly be announced. To receive informational updates and the registration form by email send an email message to wvbgolfinfo@uhboosters.com.

12/28/2005: Announcing the 2005 Wahine Volleyball Banquet information is now available. Check out our Banquet web page for the latest information and the reservation form to reserve your table. Come join us to honor our team and to celebrate the 2005 season in the gala event of the year.

10/3/2005: UH Panda Travel has put together a travel package for fans to attend the WAC Championships in Reno Nevada. Enjoy a package that includes travel on United Airlines to Reno, Nevada, accommodations at the Circus Circus Hotel with 2 Complimentary breakfast credits, per room per day, ground transportation and game tickets. 8/13/2005: Our Rainbow Wahine Volleyball Team will have an open practice and scrimmage for the Booster Club on August 20, 2005. After the scrimmage meet with the players in a potluck meal. Please bring a dish. Here are the details:

         Open Practice:        3:00PM - Stan Sheriff Center
         Team Scrimmage:   4:00PM - Stan Sheriff Center
         Pot Luck:    approx. 5:45PM - Hospitality Room A (Postgame meal room).

4/1/2005: The Wahine team invites everyone to help them fight cancer. The whole team will be washing cars from 9 am to 3 pm, Sunday, April 3 at the Kahala Mall Chevron on the corner of Waialae Ave. and 21st Ave. Clean your car, visit with the Wahine, and do your part to support the Relay For Life. You can't spend your time and money any better than that!

4/1/2005: Watch for news on what the team will be doing in April, here and on the mainland. It will be posted in the next day or two.

3/31/2005: The Dave Shoji Invitational golf tournament information is now available. It will be held May 6, 2005 at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club. Print the Registration Form and mail it in to join the top notch tournament.

3/28/2005: Check out our Photo Memories pages. Newly added are the spring Nittaidai visit and Senior Night 2004.

3/23/2005: Enjoy some pictures from the banquet held January 30, 2005 at the Waikiki Beach Marriott Resort & Spa. Additional photos of other past events will be added over the next few weeks so keep watching.

3/22/2005 -COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and National Association of Collegiate Women Athletics Administrators (NACWAA) are pleased to announce that Stanford University, University of Hawai’i and Penn State University have accepted invitations to the AVCA/NACWAA College Volleyball Showcase to be held on Aug. 26-27.
